Recent holder of the Jules Verne trophy, Franck Cammas and his Sponsor, Groupama, have just signed with the Multiplast boatyard for the construction of a 21 m monohull for the next round-the-world fully crewed race (Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012).

By sailing round the world in under 50 days (48 days 7 hrs 44' 52"), a symbolic figure, the Groupama 3 Team has just achieved a stunning performance. The whole MULTIPLAST team is proud to have contributed to this trimaran and thanks the Groupama Team for this additional line to the company's record of achievements.

Multi One Design S.A. (Ltd) has just confirmed the construction of the 5 first examples of its 20m trimaran one design. These boats are going to become benchmarks for oceanic racing in the next few years. In the long term, this series of 12 boats will compete in transatlantic, round Europe and round-the-world races.
