Cruising monohulls

Composite construction techniques are also used in cruising monohull constructions. Often related to the choice of a carbon mast and light rig, these composite structures make for much higher level performance and great level of comfort. Effort is lower and movements are much more gentle. The radius of action is greatly improved.

Weight is saved on the structures alone and is not to the detriment of comfort aboard which is essential when cruising.

These "custom" monohulls are made of composite materials in accordance with a design brief drawn up to suit the client’s sailing programme. Multiplast’s design office works in close association with the chosen naval architect.

Each boat is unique and Multiplast is able to create different monohulls between two extremes:
  • Ocean crusing monohulls such as "Ourson rapide",
  • Dayboat monohulls like the 60 foot Setton.
