(Ltd) has just confirmed the construction of the 5 first examples of its 20m trimaran one design. These boats are going to become benchmarks for oceanic racing in the next few years. In the long term, this series of 12 boats will compete in transatlantic, round Europe and round-the-world races.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The participation of <strong>MULTIPLAST<\/strong> in the <strong>Multi One Design<\/strong> project represents the outcome of 3 years of preparatory work.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<em><strong>Yann Penfornis, <\/strong><\/em><em>General Manager: &#8220;&#8230;From the moment this idea was launched by Franck David, we found the one design concept attractive. This alone guarantees sporting equality.Technically, in Europe, the organization set up by Multi One Design S.A. (Ltd.) groups together, what it best knows how to do in terms of manufacturing multihulls and offshore racing project management experience.We are therefore proud that our team will be making 10 70&#8242; floats (approx. 20 m) to start with, and we hope, then the 14 others, which will race 12 perfectly identical trimarans in 2 to 3 years.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The manufacture of the plugs and 100% carbon moulds will begin early January to enable the delivery of the 1st set of floats in summer 2010.10.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Franck David, executive manager of Multi One Design Ltd<\/strong><\/em>.: <em>&#8220;MOD S.A. wished to form a pool of experienced world-famous boat yards in order to meet the expectations and great demands of owners and skippers in terms of quality, reliability and one design concept. An ambitious programme such as the Multi One Design 70&#8242; also requires the pooling of knowledge and experience by boat yards. MULTIPLAST, together with CDK Technologie et D\u00e9cision S.A., and in direct collaboration with the VPLP design office, will bring a highly qualitative dimension to the whole concept, while respecting the ecological impact carried by the Multi One Attitude initiative.
