6e Sens: back to France

After a great campaign on the other side of the world, the IACC 6e Sens is on the way home by cargo between Auckland (NZ) and her base in Lorient (South Brittany, France). For the French Challenge, the bottom line is more than positive: a place in the semi-finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup, a crew who performed well despite early difficulties – and a boat of exemplary reliability. In the beginning of April, 6e Sens will be back in her homeport of Lorient, where she was named in June 1999 after a 7-month build by Multiplast

New mast for Polpharma-Warta

The Polish crew of the 85-ft catamaran Polpharma-Warta is preparing the construction of a taller and lighter wing mast. The installation of the new rig will require several modifications on the platform.
The polish crew of the catamaran Polpharma-Warta (26 m / 85 ft) visited the Multiplast yard on March 17 to prepare the construction of a new mast. This wing mast will replace the one lost at the end of February 2000 during the crossing from Cadiz (Spain) to San Salvador (Bahamas). This transatlantic nevertheless enabled Polpharma-Warta

"Code One": Giant "Meccano" set

Multiplast finishes joining the hulls of its 2nd maxi catamaran for The Race under the trampoline of Club Med. As soon as the latter leaves the yard, the giant "Meccano" set that is "Code One" will start being put together. Launching is scheduled for July 2000.
Under the trampoline of Club Med, Multiplast is finishing assembling the hulls of "Code 0ne", the second maxi-catamaran built for The Race to Gilles Ollier Design Team plans. Assembly of the platform will commence in May 2000.The present operation consists in joining – two by two
